Is NextGen an accredited institution?

No, NextGen is not accredited. However, we have an agreement in place with the South African Theological Seminary (SATS). SATS is accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE), the Education and Training Quality Assurer (ETQA) of the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA), and the Department of Higher Education and Training (more info here: https://sats.ac.za/accreditation/

SATS has assessed the training provided by NextGen Bible Institute and has formalised a recognition of prior learning (RPL) agreement, which allows for NextGen students to articulate seamlessly into the SATS programme. RPL is not offered in the form of numerical credits but as an exemption from SATS courses that are deemed to be comparable to courses that students completed with NextGen.

NextGen offers fourteen courses that exempt our students from similar courses both in the Higher Certificate in Christian Life and in the Bachelors of Theology degree. These are not accredited courses, but in NextGen’s partnership with SATS, will exempt a student from similar courses at SATS.
