What to expect

Each course is 8 weeks long. There are 5 courses to complete in the first year. Each venue chooses a time and day of the week that works well for the class to meet.

Times

A typical NextGen venue offers training in the following format:

  • One meeting per week
  • Typically a mid-week evening, 5pm-9pm.
  • Some venues chose a Saturday instead.

Homework

Each course has homework that must be completed before the meeting. This consists of reading, research, and assignments. At a regular pace of reading, there is approximately 6-8 hours worth of preparation per week.

Tests

Students are expected to study for quizzes and exams. An exam-guide is given to the students to help them prepare. A grade is also given for participation in class.

Interaction

Students are strongly encouraged to participate in class discussions. Asking questions and discussing topics is an excellent way of learning.

NextGen's classes come in a modular format, with a typical break of 1-2 weeks between classes.
